Hastings Borough Council have recently begun a consultation with local residents on the Local Plan for planning policy across the town. This is your opportunity to have your say on what will be built, where it will be built and how this will affect people who live and work in the town. Sandrock Bends on the edge of St. Helen’s Woods is currently on the Local Plan. We are urging the council to remove this site from the plan based on potential damage to the St. Helen’s Woods nature reserve, notwithstanding the wider unsuitability of the site for development.
