Public Safety Notice
Urgent tree works are currently taking place in the northern part of St. Helen’s Woods (near the footpath leading to Dunclutha Road) to remove a Hornbeam tree. This tree has been identified as unsafe due to significant basal rot during a recent tree survey.
For the safety of all visitors, paths around the Secret Pond are now closed until the works have been carried out. Works are scheduled to begin next week.
We kindly ask all walkers and visitors to:
- Follow all posted safety signs and barriers.
- Do not cross or remove any fencing or signage.
- Use alternative routes.
These temporary closures are essential to ensure public safety while the tree is safely removed.
Please look out for updates on when the paths will be re-opened.
